Pericardial Tamponade

  • Patient will be complaining of dyspnea and chest pain
  • PE will show muffled heart sounds, JVD and hypotension (Beck’s triad), pulsus paradoxus 
  • ECG will show low voltage QRS, electrical alterans
  • Echocardiography will show diastolic collapse of RV
  • Treatment is pericardiocentesis
