“Injustice Anywhere is a Threat to Justice Everywhere”

Rosh Review is not just a company that cares about you passing your board exams or improving your medical knowledge. We care about doing the right thing for the right reasons. And we believe in speaking up when we see something wrong.

George Floyd’s murder was not an isolated act of violence. It was yet another example of systemic and structural racial oppression in this country, which is too often weaponized to destroy people’s dignity, limit their opportunities, and even take their lives.

This week alone, we all bore witness to the video of Amy Cooper threatening to sic the police on a Black birder in Central Park who politely asked her to leash her dog. We watched in horror as Gregory and Travis McMichael chased Ahmaud Arbery and killed him in broad daylight. And we bore witness to the brutal inhumanity of Derek Chauvin in Minneapolis as he slowly pressed the life out of George Floyd. 

These horrific acts came in the context of a global pandemic that has cut through Black communities and families like a scythe. Rosh Review is not a political organization. But we cannot remain silent in the face of such blatant injustice and preventable trauma. 

As the CEO and founder of Rosh Review, I believe in holding police accountable for brutality.

I believe racism is a problem White people need to fix.

I believe in voting racists out of office.

I believe we need to destroy the structural and systemic barriers that continue to hold people back.

And I believe that Black lives matter. 

Now more than ever, we must all come together in defense of human dignity and justice and work to create a future that is safe, secure, and free for us all. “Injustice anywhere,” as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. reminds us in his Letter from a Birmingham Jail, “is a threat to justice everywhere.”
