Molluscum Contagiosum

  • Risk factors: common in childhood, can occur in healthy adults and spread via direct skin-to-skin contact or fomites
  • Sx: small skin-colored papules, can be associated with pruritus or surrounding inflammation
  • PE will show multiple waxy, dome-shaped papules with umbilicated appearance
  • Caused by poxvirus
  • Self-limiting course
